Continue being aggressive in marketing

I applaud Dell's recent move to invade HP's Americas Partner Conference in Las Vegas to pass out Dell fliers.

I say Dell should do more bold and aggressive marketing like this in order to retake market share. Perhaps hold a protest at HP for environmental issues: carbon footprint, energy efficiency, ect. Maybe a commercial where Dell owners laugh at a co-worker who brings an Acer notebook to a business meeting. The possibilities are endless as long as you do it with a sense of humor.

I love watching big companies "fight" it out. Pepsi vs Coke, Microsoft vs Nintendo vs Sony, Microsoft vs Apple, and Dell vs HP. It's nice to see that the companies I like have some guts.

Yea, its just like the politicians, they will beat each other up then we'll end up buying from a 3rd party to not get into the fray.

<< thinking some people don't understand marketing very well.

The public likes the rivalry between these companies.

"I just wish HD DVD and BLU-RAY D war still exsist! I MISS YOU, HD DVD!!!"

I hate to say it. That battle was won before it began. Blu Ray is built into the PlayStation 3 game console (which happens to be the cheapest Blu Ray player just like the PS2 was the cheapest DVD player in Japan).

Just like the the PS2 (I like my Dreamcast.) won because it was a cheap DVD player.

As long as Dell is not aggressive against Windows, OK.

I don't think being aggressive in marketing against windows would help Dell winoffice.

Same thought here, as well.
