I would like for Dell to develop an ultra-portable (maybe named the Porta :-) that is roughly the size of a smartphone which has the processing power of a good laptop, and can also function as a telephone. This device might also have the ability to connect to a dock at the base of a monitor which would also allow for network connectivity and peripheral attachments. I would replace my three desktop computers with this device. Of course, I could back up the device “in the cloud” and carry my computer with me everywhere…

May 6		 Great idea.. I think dell should definetly come up with their on version of these little computers. Its the future. Maybe dell can have different models just like the two different ones you showed on the videos. I love the name PORTA too.. DELL Porta 300 :P so I say use that name as well. You could also partner with a phone service company such as ATT and offer phone service with the smaller versions.

May 6		 I wouldn't partner with AT&T. If you offer phone services people are going to want mobile broadband which AT&T couldn't really deliver for the iPhone. The service iPhone owners got was sub-3G.

May 6		 Fair enough.. Also.. You could offer one with some sort of thin retractable plastic cover that slides to the back to protect the screen while not in use. Especially in bigger models like that 2nd one you showed Aiki. I can imagine those things getting tons of scratches if at least a plastic cover isnt added to the design.
