Display Packaging Needs LESS Foam 80 points posted to Monitors and Displays, Sales Strategies by lyonadmiral May 12 As an IT professional who sets up 50+ machines in a sitting, there is nothing more frustrating than unpacking a new LCD panel. Having experience with both new and refurbished panels I can tell you that the refurbished panel is packed much better than the new panel. New panels have to be unboxed like an union, 3 layers of styrofoam in order to completely break down and recycle the box. The refurbished display comes with two lightweight pieces of foam that secure the LCD and the stand in the box. Even with those two pieces the poduct is secured enough quite well to sustain the trip to my rural location. The new LCD packaging, wastes too much time, plus it uses too much material. Start using less.
