Something like Asus's "Splashtop" fast-booting secure web-surfing environment.

Asus is putting their
Splashtop environment in all their new motherboards.

I'd very much like to simply turn my Dell's on and off like any other appliance, and be able to instantly launch a web browser without even having to wait for a hard disk to spin up.

May 19		 I like this idea. I also think I should be able to turn on my pc and inmediatly be able to use the browser when in the background the pc is booting on. This give me something to do when I am waiting like check my e-mail, and then move back to my normal OS.

May 20		 I am begging Dell. If they implement this ... please stay away from anything Microsoft!!!
