Electronic Inflatable Arm Sling

-80 points posted to Healthcare by wanda Jun 30

I am a 47 year old Female that recently had surgery on my shoulder. The hardest part after surgery was trying to lift my arm without the aid of someone helping me. As I was visiting my Son in the hospital a few days following my surgery, I was amused at how the mattress at different intervals would shift by going up or down automatically. I know this was put in place a few years ago due to bedridden patients not being turned in a timely manner and were getting bed sores. As I sit there with my arm in the cloth sling I said wow that would be neat if they made a sling that would raise your arm at 30 minute, 45 minute, or 1 hour intervals. This would aid in speedier recovery time and help those that are well advanced in age.

How is this related to computers or Dell?

They have different categories and healthcare is one of them.

I do apologize part of my post didn't post. With the electronic Inflatable Arm Sling if you're sitting at a computer all day as I am as an Internet Sales Director, this would also aid in your returning back to work sooner and aid you in being able to raise your arm to perform your job tasks on the computer without your arm becoming too tired or being in too much pain.

I have nothing against this as an idea in general, but this is way off topic here. I believe the purpose of the "Healthcare" section of this site is to promote ideas relating to computer technology in the field of healthcare. Should Dell start making adhesive bandages and selling pharmaceuticals as well?

I agree with elkar - great idea, but this isn't really the place... Sorry!
