Thinking of our youth today, they need and outlet!!! For instance, in my son's 8th grade computer lab all they do is play games - go to my space and listen to music videos. Dell will offer a website that deals with the issues that concern them. From teen pregnancy, drugs, suicide, school, everything. They will be able to log on to actual discussions group. I know that Dell has the resources to offer a program like this in schools. Dell will develop a program ( and i will be a part of this) for schools to participate. The idea is to be more aware of what's going on with our youth, instead of always being a step behind! Our youth need more information, what better way of communication do we have to offer? They are the "right now" age and for those of us who live in "right now". The time is "NOW"
The second part of this program is, Dell will also link the information requested my the youth to agency's that can provide resources. My space and y tube have created enough "ZERO" NOW DELL CAN CREATE SOMETHING.

Do you really think that the existence of such a site is going to prevent kids from still playing games and going to myspace? If that's what they are doing now, that's what they are going to continue doing. Unless you enforce limitations on how they can use the computers. That responsibility needs to fall on the schools and most of all the parents. DELL doesn't need to get involved here.

With all due respect, that is the worst idea I have ever read on here.

Dell is a computer manufacturer. If you're really concerned about "our youth today", there are plenty of sites already out there covering the topics you've mentioned.

I think the responsibility falls on said youths to go looking for help if they want it. It's there if they do.

Dear happier50s:
Thanks for reaching out to Dell with this idea; however, it's not something that we, as a computer hardware company, do at this point. We do a ton of community outreach programs in schools, but aren't able to create a dedicated website dealing with youth issues at this time. Thanks for sending us your idea!
