I hope that Dell Inspiron Mini has:

1 GB RAM (DDR2)
At least 40GB (i dont mind HDD, although SDD is better)
Intel Atom processor
At least 533MHz
Windows XP Home
6-cell batteries (at least for better battery life)
Large keypad (black wqith white letters)
The mouse pad please don't like Acer Aspire One or HP Mini
Fast startup
Good broadband speed.

Camera!

I hope Dell Mini has at least 1.3 Megapixel webcam.
Just to update my wishlist.

It should be much better than 533MHz! The Atom is much more capable, and leaked specs say it will be closer to a little less than 2GHz from what I have seen. Also looks like it will be upgradable to 2GB RAM, starting with around 512MB-1GB RAM. I will still promote your idea, but you should keep your expectations high. The competition is keeping their specs pretty high.

I'm just going to wait because I know it will come... all that, swivel, touch, AND a phone - all in one.

i think an asus/voodoo style instant-on minimal linux would be good.

As well as Windows, of course. Choice of xp or vista. boot times would be less of a concern if it meant you could browse etc in the instanton environment.

OR... have it background boot windows, while u check ur email or whatever in the linux partition. and it lets you know when it's ready!

Voted down for "Windows XP Home" instead of "Windows Vista Home Premium".

pls make a keybord a poper way.
full size enter and backspace keys.
Ctrl at far left. (not Fn key)
use entire width of device for keyboard.

include bluetooth in standard (basic) model.

don't use crappy SSD like Acer in Aspire ONE. (8 GB is enough - just make it fast)

and a MUST : use 6 cell bat. in all models (it's a stupid thing for a bat to last only 2-3h on such a low consumption/high portability device)

pls don't go crazy with price like asus did. 500$ + is 2 much for device of this kind. 299$ for basic model seems like nice point. :D
