Here's an article with the patent information for a keyboard that uses magnets and coils under each key to produce power that extends the life of your laptop battery. I don't think it will provide enough to keep a system going, but maybe with a pedal you can pump or a crank, this might actually be cool. Unfortunately, Compaq owns the patent.
