Dell user blogs

Would anyone be interested if Dell decided to create a section in the Dell community for users to blog about Dell and technology in general? We have many well spoken members of the Dell Community that I would love to see post articles on such a site. I'm sure it would only be users selected by Dell so it wouldn't be littered with spam though. Feel free to nominate users in the comments.

There could even be some point/counter point discussions on hot topics like windows vs linux.

petzy - this would be one where WE would post articles as customers about Dell. I find alot of the users here very articulate and pasionate about the topics they discuss. I agree with kenjennings' list mostly. reg gets a little to political for me and would most likely stray to those kind of issues instead of sticking to Dell issues. I'm not sure how interesting my articles would be either.

Are you Kenjennings as well?.....something keeps telling me that you have different user Ids as well....;)
then what is ideastorm for Jervis?. of couse all of us post here.. you mean to say a bolg created that is exclusively restricted only for a particular group? Is that so Jervis?.....;)

Something like that petzy. my thought is that while we can discuss issues here some of the more well spoken users do not get read as often as they deserve because it is lost in the sea of information here. Creating a site where some of them are invited to post articles and news would give them a bigger stage to be heard and maybe more important issues could be brought to lite.

ps I am not kenjennings either.

Sure why not. By the way this idea has the "official jorge seal of approval".

what do you mean by official Jorge seal of approval? will it by any chance restrict Robbins?. ......;)

No. Some of us consider it a sign of a good idea when jorge demotes it.

It would depend on exactly what they'd be saying in their blogs. I've never really been much of a blogger myself and never really read any on any sort of frequent basis. Blogs offering practical help and advice would be useful. Better than sifting through post after post on a forum.

However, aren't we doing this HERE??

Can't seem to find the article you refer to (using Google search, that is) .. tho I see a number of other Jarvis articles on the Guardian...

Talk is cheap and easy, that's why I'm here. Do something -- instead of critiquing and complaining.

So what are you doing?

Good question, I don't suppose they'd let me upgrade ideastorm into something useful, eh?
If any lazy Dell employees are reading this, gimme the password and I'll do your IdeaStorm work! :D

Sometimes I wish they would let us take over too.

I doubt 'lazy' is the issue, however... pejorative remarks should be unnecessary, don't you think?

True phubert, I think it is more that Dell is only letting them on the site part time.

However, I see they _have_ fixed a few items... and it's making the site easier to use.
If they've contracted this site, they might need to commit to a complete redesign/rewrite to make the changes we'd LIKE to see... tho that's something we've already -suggested-...

Consider, however, how long it took Dell to offer AMD CHIPS!!! Compared to that, the Linux efforts are moving like lightening.

OTOH, we might ALSO consider that a number of things are coming together right now:

*Google
*VMware

and???

Many people have been impatient about the Dell tablet but I think they must be waiting for a reason.
