Release a business version of the Alienware doublewide curved DLP display with LED illumination

260 points posted to Monitors and Displays by jervis961 Jan 9

Businesses are always looking for ways to save desk space and a monitor like this could do the trick. Different versions could be made based on the use of the monitor. I work with up to 6 monitors at a time and would rather look at a few of these than 6 singles. I wouldn't need 2ms response time or high def resolution because my screens are mostly text based but I would like to have a neater, roomier desk area.

So, how is this priced, jervis? Multi smaller monitors (all flat, I would hope) would likely cost far less -and (for me, at least) be much easier to read than a curved monitor).

Still, options are good...

My son walked by and saw this picture and wants this lcd. I told him to get a second job. He does like games. Nothing better than a panoramic view.

The pricing wasn't posted yet as the monitor is still a prototype but I'm sure it is expensive. I lower spec'd version would be good for business or government.

It looks nice. I wouldn`t use it myself, but my son and many gamers would.

So, that relies upon the image remaining at that location!

Or does it actually INSERT it FROM that location only ONCE (i.e. now in storage at THIS site?)

It requires the picture to stay on the location and it retrieves it when people load the page. I try to find sites that don't change much or ad it to my personal web page and link to it there.

With the low vertical resolution of that monitor (is it really only 900px as articles say) - I think the new cool thing to do will be to get too monitors and put them one-above-the-other on a desk instead of side-by-side.

Vertical of 900px is pretty poor... but it's all about preference. What is the horizontal???

I can't find the review I saw with the specs. If I recall, horizontal was something impressively good.

A am amused by the idea of two of these stacked one-above-the-other, tho.

A room with four of these - one on each side - would be awesome too.
