Get some Precision, Latitude models displayed in retail. Latitude products, Sales Strategies, Precision Workstations submitted by jmxz Mar 28
Dell's brand image in most consumer's minds is typically that Dell is a low-end discount computer vendor with rather clunky designs - or, a smaller number of people think of Dell as also having a gamer angle with flashy-xtreme-geek Alienware and XPS lines. People get those impressions because those are the Dell models they typically see. Integrated POWERED usb ports on monitors and displays Monitors and Displays submitted by macemace 07/20/07
Many USB peripherals require full USB power to work correctly. (e.g. digital xray sensors in dentistry and medicine) Use DisplayPort everywhere, drop HDMI. (Prefer free/libre standards over closed protocols) Monitors and Displays, Desktops and Laptops submitted by freemenow Mar 5 **REVIEWED**
Use DisplayPort on all your new products. DisplayPort is a solid and clean standard, easily espandable and is going to last way more than clunky hack-ish protocols like HDMI or DVI. Software submitted by ootleman 02/16/07 **PARTIALLY IMPLEMENTED**
Would love the ability to have a clean Vista install. No AOL software, no earthlink software, no google software - just a clean, original OS. Monitors and Displays, Laptop Power submitted by yardsale Jan 16 I dont know why dell hasnt done this yet. switch all monitors on desktops and notebooks to LED. did you know that you can run an LED screen at full brightniess and it uses less power than a LCD monitor at the lowest brighting level?!? its cheaper, its energy efficent, and it needs to be done! promote this, if you demote i wanna know why! 62 Comments » Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), Sales Strategies, Desktops and Laptops submitted by rarmasu 02/21/07 **PARTIALLY IMPLEMENTED**
I find myself many, many times in dark or poorly lit environments having to guess the various keys - would be fantastic to have a backlit keyboard - with backlit individual keys as the best option. Standardize Power Cables for Laptops Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), Laptops submitted by badblood 08/27/07 **UNDER REVIEW**
Nothing is more annoying than laptop power cables that are not interchangeable from one computer model to another or from one brand of computer to another. Power cables have been standardized on most electrical applicances, including desktop computers for decades. track my votes
