With the pending release of the "Studio" Line of Inspiron notebooks, it appears that Dell is looking to take back the notebook market. There are new design features that put the "Studio" notebooks on par with Macbook Pros... slimmer/update design, slot loading DVD +/- RW and/or Blu-ray drive, BACK LIT keyboard, eSATA drives and a host of color options. Offer 64-bit Versions of Windows Vista XPS products submitted by jefisher Jan 14 I have been searching for a new laptop and would like to future-resist the purchase and take full advantage of the 4GB RAM that I would like to include, however the only versions of ANY OS that Dell supports is 32-bit only. Dell needs to offer up the 64-bit versions so that 1/2 the warrenty is not voided when I load the 64-bit version from Microsoft using the same licence (which yes is valid). If MS can offer up these disks, why cant Dell? Support 64-bit Computing now 90% of the computers sold at Dell.com can support it. 21 Comments » 9600GT 512MB Gddr3 for xps 1530!!! 9600M GT/9650M GS are officially out on the market since Yesterday June 3, 2008! Need Gigabit Ethernet in M1530. XPS products submitted by hoodedthing 12/06/07
What about Gigabit ethernet...? It's really not new technology, and it's pretty dissappointing not to see it in the m1530. It wouldn't be that hard to implement now.. Just start sticking gigabit ethernet ports in the laptops instead of 10/100. Copy new features on the Studio back to the XPS line XPS products submitted by jeopardy Jun 27
Just a brief idea; Software, Desktops and Laptops submitted by ccpljat Jul 27 Why is it that Dell doesn't offer the Windows Sideshow? This is a really cool feature of Vista and dedicated Dell customers are missing out. Think about it. Offer at least some models in each line of PC/notebook that features Windows Sideshow. I am surprised that wasn't included as an option on the new Studio notebooks. 4 Comments » Put the 512MB Nvidia Geforce 9600 GT as an option for the XPS M1530 Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), XPS products submitted by darthomer May 25
Put the 512MB Nvidia Geforce 9800 GT as an option for the XPS M1530 it is as big the 256MB card avalible right now but this one is 512MB and will make Games way faster and better looking than the 256MB card avalible. if Dell does this than the XPS M1530 will be one of the most popular laptops at Dell infact I think that the only thing I didn't like about the XPS M1530 is its poor GPU. The Nvidia Geforce 8800 GTX is the same power but I didn't say that one because its too thick this one is like 4cm thick. it could add another $50 $100 $150 to this PCs price tag but its worth it Matte (NOT TrueLife) Display on XPS m1330 Monitors and Displays, XPS products submitted by mw 06/27/07 **UNDER REVIEW**
The XPS m1330 seems to be the perfect machine, aside from a few imperfections (no Gigabit Ethernet, for example). However, there is one feature that is an absolute dealbreaker for me--the glossy TrueLife screen. I remember the day before the shiny screens, and what a beautiful day that was. LED Backlit Displays for Higher Resolutions for XPS M1530 Monitors and Displays, Sales Strategies, XPS products submitted by whitefrost May 14 The release of the LED backlit 1440 x 900 display is great, but needs to be expanded to higher resolutions most notably the 1680 x 1050 resolution which a large number of people use and are most comfortable with. It would not be a threat to the M1730 as you can keep the LED Full HD 1920 x 1200 for it alone. 6 Comments » 64 Bit Vista and more than 4 GB RAM Desktops, XPS products submitted by dellrox Jul 24
HP has the option for 64 bit Vista and 32 bit Vista, why not Dell? Also, put the option in to XPS 620 desktops for more than 4GB RAM. You do this for Dell Precision Workstations, why not Home Gaming Desktops. Give XPS Notebooks Gigabit Ethernet XPS products submitted by croftki Feb 17 I understand that Dell market research says home users in general are not interested in gigabit ethernet for home networks. Those who pay for the premium design in the XPS line, however, are more likely to want gigabit ethernet. I would rather buy something more exciting than a business class notebook, but I want to build on my home technology with each purchase I make. XPS Notebooks unfortunately do not help me do this. It seems my only option is to buy a Latitude. 28 Comments » Please make Ubuntu XPS Notebook cheaper than XPS Vista Notebook Linux, Operating Systems, XPS products submitted by dki May 26

Non-Glare High Resolution LED Displays Monitors and Displays, XPS products, Vostro products submitted by anonym Jul 18
Please stop the glossy display nonsence and provide a non-glare display options for all models. If possible with LED backlight, because it is brighter, thinner and less power consuming. I like the XPS M1330 very much, but the glossy display is a real show stopper... New Product Ideas, XPS products, Laptops submitted by pwl2706 Jul 18 As almost all your competition now have Centrino 2 laptops launched, it is time for DELL to refresh the XPS Laptop line so I can buy a 13 inch XPS laptop with Centrino 2. 24 Comments » XPS products submitted by xdivino Jul 22
When you refresh the XPS range, you should include 64bit OS as standard or as optional. Montevina Released! Update Notebooks NOW!! Important for laptops. 5 Comments » Downloadable, PDF format, full technical specs for all systems Advertising and Marketing, Dell Web Site submitted by benjesuit 06/12/07 **REVIEWED**
Before I buy, I would like to have the options of downloading the full technical specifications of the system. Not just the brief specifications. Place a link under "tech specs" tab that allows you to view or download the full specification PDF file for those of us who care about and understand such things. This way everyone is satisfied.
