Put more staff on the Ideastorm team!

I seriously cannot believe that 3 people is a sufficient amount of admins to manage 450+ pages of ideas. This is really evidenced by the fact that a _ton_ of ideas have gone ignored by the Ideastorm team, even when they were very popular.

Update drivers for Nvidia 8600m Gt on the Inspiron 1720
Inspiron products submitted by ali3n8

Hello,
As many 1720 owners that game well know there is an issue with the current drivers for the 8600m GT in vista 32bit edition. The following error is received when trying to game or use anything application that is graphically intensive "Display driver stopped responding, but has successfully recovered". Apparently this is a major issue that nvidia has acknowledged and has fixed. When will dell get on the ball put out a driver update for this card. I spent very good money for my machine love the performance but when it come to game time its pretty much hopeless. Before anyway says anything I am a Systems Engineer and know my way very well around a pc. I have tried every solution possible to fix this issue. DELL please update your drivers so I can enjoy the machine I purchased.

URGENT: RAID support. It is ridiculous that a two HD bay notebook does not offer this; Gigabit Ethernet. I don’t believe that my wireless LAN is fastest that my wired LAN; HDMI / DVI support. A notebook with Blue Ray without HDMI. No comments; Nvidia 8700M GT. The Windows Vista Experience Index is limited by the 8600M GT.
Will be a must: Choice of OS. All Vista and Linux; Car power adapter accessory; Backlight keyboard; Fingerprint scanner; A bigger battery. It’s a lot of space in the back of this notebook to attach a bigger battery.

BOYCOTT VISTA!

Dell Dudes,
Microsoft reserves the right to spy on your computer.
The more you learn how Microsoft EULA has the right to enter your computer, check out what software you are using, and also use the DRM tools in Vista to prevent you from seeing files, data, videos, or hearing 'unauthorized' music files - the more you get a sick, sinking feeling in your gut that someone else has taken control of your machine.
US Federal Government Agencies have BANNED Microsoft Vista, and for good reason.
The Microsoft EULA takes control of your machine, stating directly: "this agreement only gives you some rights to use the software. Microsoft reserves all other rights." Even potentially deleting files or disabling programs.
Compared to the costs of Apple OS X or any Linux Distribution,
The Costs of Windows Vista are Unacceptable.
Keep in mind that Microsoft was convicted by U.S. Courts for its criminal behavior, and is being forced to pay $4 million A Day by the European Union for being in violation of their judgments.
Anti-freedom Vista takes away your rights - do you want to Confirm or Deny?
BOYCOTT WINDOWS VISTA MACHINES!
If you support Linux, freedom, democracy, or just want to keep control of Your own machine that You buy with Your own money, PROMOTE this idea now.
Microsoft - Where in the world did you think you were going to go today?
Let Dell know - You Don't Want Windows Vista.

Inspiron Notebook Graphics Card Options Are LACKING...budget gamers VOTE to change!

Dell,
It wasn't but 2-YEARS ago when I purchased my Inspiron E1705. It came equipped with a Geforce Go 7900GS ($299.00 Option) which was perfect for gaming....Now, it wasn't near as fast as the Geforce Go7900GTX that was in the XPS line but it provided me with a good 'BUDGET' gaming computer.
I recently have been circling your website to find a similar budget/gaming configuration and have been unsuccessful. Why?
Dell only offers LOW END graphics cards like the Geforce 8400GS/GT & Geforce 8600GS/GT...Sure, they are DX10...but what good does that do if you can't even play a DX10 game at a reasonable framerate?
I mean C'MON DELL....A Geforce 8600GT in a 17" laptop? My 2-year old laptops graphics card is MUCH FASTER....Whats up here?
It seams you are forcing the budget gamers to either choose HORRIBLE FRAME-RATES or $2500.00+ XPS Systems that the performance will be doubled on in two months AKA - XPS 1730 w/ SLI 8700M - Being replaced in January with 8800M SLI...by the way...ONE 8800M is faster than the TWO 8700Ms....WONDERFUL... so for those of you that just dropped close to $3,000.00...SIT COMFORTABLE KNOWING YOU ARE GOING TO BE DOUBLED ON IN JANUARY.
Budget gamers UNITE and VOTE 'YES' to "BETTER GRAPHICS CARD OPTIONS IN INSPIRON NOTEBOOKS".
Dell, all we want is the OPTION...even if it costs $300.00...let us atleast choose a SINGLE 8700M or 8800M GT in the 17" inspiron notebooks "desktop replacements".
