Add Programable Touch Buttons to Laptops Laptops submitted by james-94 Jun 27
Where the capacitive media control buttons are why not add maybe 4 or 5 programable buttons to launch applications. They could just be numbered 1,2,3,4,5 and each one is able to be programed to run any application etc. that you want. give the origianl CD of the OS and not an ISO Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), Service and Support submitted by siger May 19

If a customer chooses to uninstall Dell MediaDirect, provide a separate configuration application which can re-assign the MediaDirect button to launch another program (eg iTunes). Give XPS Notebooks Gigabit Ethernet XPS products submitted by croftki Feb 17 I understand that Dell market research says home users in general are not interested in gigabit ethernet for home networks. Those who pay for the premium design in the XPS line, however, are more likely to want gigabit ethernet. I would rather buy something more exciting than a business class notebook, but I want to build on my home technology with each purchase I make. XPS Notebooks unfortunately do not help me do this. It seems my only option is to buy a Latitude. 28 Comments » There should be an option of having no trialware on all computers Software submitted by jervis961 08/23/07 **REVIEWED**

Thumbstick and scroll wheel for laptops Accessories (Keyboards, etc.) submitted by badblood Feb 14
Abandon the terrible touch pad on laptops. Replace it with a thumbstick, like on video game controllers. Put a scroll wheel on there while you are at it. New Product Ideas submitted by badblood Feb 14
Trackpads are terrible, they lack accuracy, they get in the way, you are always accidentally touching them, they seem to have minds of their own. I for one really hate track pads. I've put up a couple of ideas to replace them with thumbsticks and mini joy sticks, while others offered ideas for little mouses that pop out of the side of the computer. But there's no joy there and they've all been voted down. Linux, Operating Systems, Sales Strategies submitted by agreer 02/17/07 **PARTIALLY IMPLEMENTED**

Does what it says on the tin! Most people only use IE because they aren't aware of other browsers - they think Internet Explorer is the Internet! What would really drive take up of alternative browsers is if Firefox was pre-installed as the default browser so that when people look for the "Internet" in Windows, they are using FF. Nothing is more annoying than laptop power cables that are not interchangeable from one computer model to another or from one brand of computer to another. Power cables have been standardized on most electrical applicances, including desktop computers for decades. track my votes
