Expand Payment Options

Sales Strategies submitted by jalmeida 03/08/07

One of the big disadvantages of an online business is payment. Many people don't like giving a credit card over phone or Internet, or they may have bad credit, or, they want to make payments in installments. A way to prop up online business is to expand payment options. Here are some ideas:

1) Provide an account number and transit number to customers. Many people have direct payment. What many people don't realize is that they can have more than one bank account set set up for payroll. By providing customers with a payroll deposit option, they can buy products from Dell with the credit they build up. Once there's enough, a person can just buy the product without paying interest, and do it at a rate comfortable to them.

2) Have Dell show up as a bill payment. Just as you can pay your bills online, have Dell show up as a bill payment. Again, people can do it in installments, build up credit, then buy what they want.

3) Prepaid Dell credit cards. Don't like having any link with the bank? How about a prepaid "credit card" that you can put money on then use to buy online or at a Dell kiosk?
