What's the first thing to break on a laptop?

Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), Laptops submitted by jolt 03/03/07

I have always wanted an easily replaceable keyboard for my laptop. I'm onto my fourth laptop, and each one was replaced because the keyboard gave out for one reason or the other... Now that I think about it, this is probably what computer manufactures knowingly design into them.

I also think it would be cool to use customized keyboards that could be switched in and out quickly. For example, gaming or switching between different alphabets. 4 Comments »

What's on the cover of your laptop?

Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), Laptops submitted by jolt 03/03/07

I've seen some examples of laser etched images on the cover of laptops, and it's a really cool way to personalize everything. It would be great if people could use their own images or have a selection available to choose from. 1 Comment »

Some things I would love in my next notebook but don't exist yet...

Sales Strategies, Laptops submitted by jolt 02/17/07

1. Wireless Windows Side Show device that is powered/protected in a PCCard slot. Something like the REX pda, but cooler and reasonably priced.
2. Small LCD touchscreen above keyboard area with user defined softkeys.
3. Backlighted keys.
4. Docking Station for entertainment use. In addition to features of a "business" docking station: Speakers, Sound Card, Media Storage. 1 Comment »
