Home users wants to buy DELL ! Desktops, Dimension products, Gaming, Linux submitted by pitlin 11/19/07
I agree with idea of Lukasz Wisniewski. I was looking to buy DELL desktop or laptop system for well few years without joy: i could only buy some 2nd hand machine, most of the times from unknown source. It seems that Dell doesn't realised that in Poland reasonable price of i.e. desktop system is around 3000 to 4000 zloty. That's around 1000 euro. I still have to choose between Dell's competitors or 3rd party companies products not well designed, with poor service contract. If i would live in some other EU country i could spend my money for pretty good Dell Inspiron or XPS desktop and get quality of product and 3 year next bussiness day on site support. Is it fair dear Michael ? Please think realy seriously about potential customers in Poland and give them what they are looking for. Be more serious about alternative OS as well - Dell always had 2 independent suppliers of parts or prducts but why always except software and OS ? Linux Laptops/Desktops for Poland, please? Linux, Service and Support, Desktops and Laptops submitted by azazzello 06/18/07 Well, if not internationally, then at least I would love to see some Ubuntu laptops in my country - and as I am currently starting a search for a new laptop I am willing to vote with my wallet on this one ;;-) 2 Comments » Linux submitted by yesmathew 05/03/07 **PARTIALLY IMPLEMENTED**
Dell announced to pre-load Ubuntu on Notebooks and Desktops for US market. What about for Europe? We want for Europe market too... users from Switzerland, Germany, France, UK, Austria, Spain, and others are requesting the same. Make a calendar with all COMING SOON and IN PROGRESS ideas Advertising and Marketing, IdeaStorm submitted by krasmussen 09/22/07 **REVIEWED**
One of the biggest annoyances with IdeaStorm is that the horizon for an idea being implemented is very blurry, if at all existing. If you're lucky, you get "third quarter 2009", but mostly, there is no timeframe at all. This leads to the feeling that not much is being done, and exactly that feeling is what IdeaStorm should be eliminating. make linux systems EASY TO FIND Dell Web Site submitted by phubert 10/18/07
At other sites, I have seen comments by individuals who have BOUGHT Dell Ubuntu systems complaining about the difficulty FINDING said systems. Put Ubuntu on a laptop with better specs Inspiron products, Linux submitted by piratehead 10/16/07 **PARTIALLY IMPLEMENTED**

MagSafe power connectors, by Apple, are magnetic power connectors that pull out harmlessly when the cord is tripped upon. Make Linux and no Operating system standard options on all future products Operating Systems submitted by jervis961 08/17/07 **REVIEWED**
OK Dell you have committed to supplying Linux options in limited form. Since you have laid the groundwork already here is the next step. Every new product you release that needs an Operating system should have Linux and also no Operating System as an option in the configuration along side Windows. Since you have to write drivers and test compatability for Vista when making a new product just make it compatable with Linux at the same time. There will no longer be a need for a seperate sections for Linux or no Operating system since all of the products will have the option. this will help make your site easier to navigate for you customers. You can also create an ACCURATE help me choose section for the OS choices. Standardize Power Cables for Laptops Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), Laptops submitted by badblood 08/27/07 **UNDER REVIEW**
Nothing is more annoying than laptop power cables that are not interchangeable from one computer model to another or from one brand of computer to another. Power cables have been standardized on most electrical applicances, including desktop computers for decades. According to today's local newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza [1], by 20th November, 11:30 to be more exact, Dell will just have manufactured their first notebook in Lodz, Poland. Unfortunately, even though I am inhabitant of this city, it is more than unlikely I will buy DELL notebook anytime soon. track my votes
