Dell should adhere to the same Distance Selling Legislation for business business customers as those offered to consumers (i.e. 7 day cooling off period). XPS products submitted by bayarea2 Jul 25
Please consider an XPS 630 option to upgrade to the Intel Core 2 Extreme Processor QX9650. The QX6850 is old technology. You offer the option on the XPS 420. Why not offer the same on the XPS 630? Accessories (Keyboards, etc.) submitted by tawbb1 Jul 24 This is not exactly a computer idea, but sort of something new. I would like to be able to buy an electronic calendar for my sister, but I don't know if they are made. Not one for the computer, a calendar that is separate from the computer that she can hang on her wall and that will remind her say an hour ahead of time of appointments she has by voice. Basically one that says, "you have an appointment in one hour". I don't know if anyone even makes such a thing, but I think it would be cool for her to have it since she has 4 kids and has a hard time remembering appointments. Maybe other people could use it too. 2 Comments » Accessories (Keyboards, etc.) submitted by cynthia.horn Jul 25 I'd like to have funky neon colored keyboards. Any plans for this in the future? Comment » Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), New Product Ideas, Desktops and Laptops submitted by zakkieda Jul 21 At dell home, create a giant supercomputer with hundreds of processors, with hundreds of gigabytes of ram, and terabytes of hard drive space, and hundreds of graphics cards. You sell a PDA with an excellent modem which can receive signals from miles away, by sending information like a phone. Your PDA has a minimal processor, only enough to give out coordinates of the mouse click and the letters pressed on the keyboard, the signal is given to your processor which you bought online on the PDA. Then a signal is sent back to the PDA- the picture. Essentially, you are taking a wireless mouse, keyboard, and monitor, strapping them together, and controlling your supercomputer from miles away through a phone service. On your PDA you can buy or sell online processors, ram, and hard drive space, so if you wanted to play crysis on its maximum settings on your PDA, you can rent an excellent processor from dell. If you need more ram, just rent or buy it from dell on your PDA. With a minimal processor on your PDA, you have plenty of room for a touch screen, a better battery, and a better modem for internet connection. 4 Comments » Monitors and Displays, Desktops and Laptops submitted by albertobajo Jul 21

Its very difficult to read the laptop screen in open daylight under the Sun. Especially, in a developing country like India, where people have to run and meet clients under the sun n do all reading while finding a suitable angle to turn the screen on... its annoying to adjust angles to connect optically with the text literally and the eyes get strained ultimately. In my searches of laptops, under "Home & Home Office", I couldn't find any 15.4 inch WUXGA (1920x1200) machines. I foolishly concluded they didn't exist- When you ask for suggestions try responding to them Dell Community, Dell Web Site, IdeaStorm submitted by jervis961 Jul 3

In the last shipment of computers I received I was shocked by the amount of plastic wrap used for items like power cords, USB cables, VGA/DVI cables. Do these items really need to be individually wrapped in a plastic bag. I can just imagine the tons of plastic used by Dell annually... Goodbye Dell, you'll be missed... Recently bought an HP HDX 9000 and a Pavillion TX2500 tablet. Operating Systems - Multiboot submitted by jprin3 Jul 14 I thought of this when i Dual-Booted my laptop, what if you could switch from Ubuntu to Vista in 1 click, and in under 1 second? I had a load of viruses on my laptop and had lost the recovery cd so I installed ubuntu and sorted windows out, but the annoying thing now is that i have a load of files that can only be read in ubuntu that i need in vista and vice-versa. This would be very helpful for peope who want to get the most out of each OS, eg. Games on windows, iPhone SDK on Mac Leopard, and the brilliant built-in security and open-sourceness of Ubuntu. 3 Comments » Servers and Storage submitted by nivlac Jul 7 Why there is not similar offering from Dell? 6 Comments » Vertical Laptop Cradle/Docking Station Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), Laptops submitted by thebittersea Jul 2
