How about not shipping all those little leaflets in multiple languages that no one reads anyway with every dell. It should be possible to create a pdf of all the necessary regulatory information and have that displayed on the first boot. Environment submitted by scotty750 06/08/07
I'm an onsite tech. I've been griping for years about the large boxes for shipping parts for warranty calls that don't have handholds. When I received my 32" lcd screen it had an extremely large amount of Styrofoam. Dell is working to be environmentally friendly, maybe they should consider a better packing material at least one that will biodegrade. Environment submitted by falbert May 22
In the last shipment of computers I received I was shocked by the amount of plastic wrap used for items like power cords, USB cables, VGA/DVI cables. Do these items really need to be individually wrapped in a plastic bag. I can just imagine the tons of plastic used by Dell annually...
