Dell, replicate the success/efforts within Healthcare to other sectors

Healthcare submitted by premcv 08/10/07

You have worked for and created a very good Healthcare and Life Sciences Solutions architecture and structure for the Healthcare industry. Some of the solutions provided are truly amazing.

I suggest that Dell replicates the solutions architecture albeit modifications required for the different Industry sectors viz., eGovernance, Automotive industry, Media and Entertainment, Finance, Manufacturing industries, to name a few.

I’m not sure whether these solutions are/is accessible/available to Healthcare providers in India and around the world. The Healthcare architecture you have could work wonders for these Healthcare providers, especially those in India. Healthcare in India is a huge market, which has now started to open up to solutions providers. If Dell were to tap into this, it could be a great move and help build the growing Dell brand.

Another sector making news is eGovernance. It has only been in the last 5-6 years that the government has opened up to the need of eGovernance. I know for sure that Intel and Microsoft are helping the Indian Governments in some states for the implementation of eGovernance. If Dell were to enter this sector, it could see quite a good amount of increase in market cap.

Internationalisation of Ideastorm

IdeaStorm submitted by premcv 07/26/07

We have seen over the past few months there have been quite a few posts requesting and also posting ideas in different languages.

These people would have genuine ideas to put forth and should not be prevented or required to have a translator to help them.

I propose that Dell should create Internatinalised versions of Ideastorm, and create links to these Internationalised versions on the Ideastorm home page.

To go one better implement a feature which, if anybody posts an Idea say, for example, in Spanish here in the English version, then it should be automatically translated and inserted as an idea. And the person who posted the idea in Spanish should be redirected to the Spanish version of Ideastorm and their idea posted there. Thus catering to various International cultures and languages. 16 Comments »

First 1 TB HDD is here!

Servers and Storage submitted by premcv 07/24/07 **ALREADY OFFERED**

The world's first 1 TB HDD is here and it is from Hitachi. Dell should bring it out to all the hi-end gaming systems.

It features a lightening quick 3Gbps SATA interface and industry topping 32MB buffer. The spin speed is 7,200RPM and there's an 8.5ms average seek time while the 'SMART' technology and quietening acoustics are employed to keep noise down to a minimum.

Rechargeable Batteries

Accessories (Keyboards, etc.) submitted by premcv 07/24/07

In quite a few recent posts, there have been frequent mentions about the need for Rechargeable batteries for use within the Wireless Kit (Wireless keyboard and mouse) for starters.

My idea is for Dell to start shipping out USB Batteries.

These revolutionary USB batteries can be used in any normal Battery devices and can be simply recharged by plugging them into the USB port.

Future products from this company include: new battery formats, and batteries for mobile phones, cameras and other devices. 19 Comments »
