Sales Strategies, Laptops submitted by rjasso Apr 29 The prices of the business laptop lines, particularly the Vostro and Precision lines, need to be more reflective of the quality and features that they offer. As an example, when configuring a Dell Vostro 1700 and a Precision M6300 with almost identical specifications, both laptops resulted in almost identical prices. Why does a laptop (the Dell Vostro 1700) that does not go through the same rigorous testing as does an M6300 cost as much as the M6300 with similar specifications? Should not the Vostro be priced lower than the M6300 even though both have very similar specifications? Overall, the prices of the different business laptop models should be adjusted to reflect the quality and features that are being advertised.
