Dell should venture/partner strongly into Mobile/PDAs spectrum Dell submitted by ranjith 02/13/07 Dell should venture or partner with strong allies in the Mobile phone and PDA market space. We are seeing a lot of personal computing and day-to-day activities getting converged into this segment. Modiles/PDAs have become the second self for people including the emerging markets. The XPS and E series notebooks are great, but a move into making 12.1 and 14.1 inch tablet PC convertible notebooks would be fantastic. I can easily see the m1210 and the e1405 being ported to the tablet medium. Popular Ideas Should Not be The Default. IdeaStorm submitted by sangelnet 03/01/07
The default page should be Recent Ideas and not Popular Ideas. People are seeing these ideas first and are getting these ridiculous points that no other idea is going to get, just for the fact that they are the first ones everyone sees. Environment submitted by adrian 02/01/07 **REVIEWED**
Environmental concern and sustainability are today real issues with consumers and voters in many of Dell's markets. It looks as if a genuine commitment to reducing carbon and cleaning up their footprint will become a more important factor for companies wanting to strengthen consumer loyalty in the coming years. This forum is a great idea to get Dell back to #1. New Dell Retail Store! Death to Mall Kiosks! Advertising and Marketing, Sales Strategies submitted by evilspell 02/16/07 Dell should open a retail store very similar to the Apple store. I know that they have small kiosks inside malls that they try to sell Plasma TV's and a couple laptops next to a guy selling knock off sunglasses and verizon cell phone sales sharks! Very unprofessional. Open a classy Dell Store and offer Tech support right in the store just like the Genius Bar in the Apple Store. 144 Comments » Convergent Device - GPS, MP3, Cell Phone, Camera, PDA, Satellite Radio Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), Sales Strategies submitted by msexpert 02/24/07
We all carry a lot of different devices today, it would be great to have a convergent device that will include: Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), New Product Ideas submitted by suyodhana 02/23/07 Accessories (Keyboards, etc.) submitted by gautam 02/16/07 The Dell Axim PDA is not super-popular, but I think if it moved into the SmartPhone realm (especially in order to compete with upcoming iPhone) then it could pick up some market-share and be a great device for US cell phone providers. 92 Comments » All-in-one Slim PDA-phone with 5 MP Camera, GPS, 10 GB Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), Broadband and Mobility submitted by subhasreddy 02/18/07
Why can't you combine a PDA-phone, Digital Camera, ipod, GPS into a single device? Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), New Product Ideas submitted by alokjain 02/18/07
VOIP is becoming increasingly available and accepted it is a wave of future (if not of present already) .. point being it'll grow. Having a (small) detacheabel VOIP phone within the laptop and also a separate device should have good market. Broadband and Mobility, New Product Ideas submitted by anoble66 02/28/07 would be great if dell developed a 802.11 wireless skype phone, similar to what belkin and netgear have launched but make it cheaper. Even better would be a wireless skype phone with the ability to fall back on to a cellular network. Comment » Broadband and Mobility submitted by sparlee 02/26/07 **REVIEWED**
All I think you should do is take the axim add the option of a SIM unlocked phone. Offer a Cell Phone that Competes with the iPhone Accessories (Keyboards, etc.), Broadband and Mobility submitted by dgs20904 02/17/07 The future of portable devices is in the development of an all-in-one electronic device that has a cell phone, camera, GPS, speaker phone, bluetooth, WiFi, MP3, email, word processing, spreadsheet, address book, SMS, and web browser. The cell phone should be able to support four bands, including the bands used outside the US that require external cards. It would be even better of the device supported Linux or BSD as its operating system so open source apps could run on it. The device should support at least 20 GB of hard disk space and enough RAM to run applications, pictures, and music. As the Apple iPhone is limited to Cingular users only, the market for an all-in-one electronic device is still wide open for Dell. 2 Comments » track my votes
