Use the original source code and write it a way which can let them run faster for the processor used.
Exemple: If it's an P4 write it to get better performance on P4.
If it's an X86-64 write it for better performance on X86-64.

Comptuter should boot in under, well, i say 3 seconds *, well if no multi-boot desktops should in under 7 seconds.*

Use CELL unit instead of X86 or X86-64

Cell is a "In order" familly procesor with get 1 cpu+8 SPE.
And is get better result in GFlop/s then P4 and AMD Athlon 64.
