Higher quality lcd screens for XPS M1530

My brothers XPS M1530 arrived today fitted with a WSXGA+ screen and its horrible and grainy. I didn't get a chance to see weather its fitted with the Samsung or LG screen. I don't know weather this is a quality control issue or just penny pinching by using cheap screens but until its fixed there is no NO WAY I'll be placing an order. How anyone could design a laptop this good only to ruin the whole deal by fitting nasty screens is beyond me. It seems this is not an isolated case either.
To see the extent of the problem look

I dont know why dell hasnt done this yet. switch all monitors on desktops and notebooks to LED. did you know that you can run an LED screen at full brightniess and it uses less power than a LCD monitor at the lowest brighting level?!? its cheaper, its energy efficent, and it needs to be done! promote this, if you demote i wanna know why!

From what I understand, today's Dell LCDs on laptops are made by Toshiba, LG, Samsung, etc.. why make it an anticipating "waiting game" for the customer to see which quality of LCD they get when their laptop comes in? The LCD display is THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT part of any laptop. Dell.. please, use ONLY the best and brightest LCDs on all of your laptops.
Quick story of my experience.. I'm a huge Dell-fan and buy lots of PCs and laptops from them for myself, my business, and for my friends and family. The LCD on their 700m laptops were the *absolute best* .. After that, I purchased the XPS1210. The LCD was "duller" and I was disappointed. But then I ordered the XPS1410 for a friend and when it came in, I was horrified with poor viewing angles of the LCD. The only way you could comfortably view the screen was when it was PERFECTLY square with your eyes! I was almost ashamed to give it to my friend. Finally, recently, I ordered the Inspiron 6000 (SXUGA?) and was relieved that is was much better. But still nothing like the 700m I used to own.
What happened to Dell's LCDs? Please make this top priority and bring the "wow" back into your laptops! (And oh, another thing, if you could somehow make your laptops thinner and lighter, that'd be great too!).

BOYCOTT VISTA!
Operating Systems submitted by reg

Dell Dudes,
Microsoft reserves the right to spy on your computer.
The more you learn how Microsoft EULA has the right to enter your computer, check out what software you are using, and also use the DRM tools in Vista to prevent you from seeing files, data, videos, or hearing 'unauthorized' music files - the more you get a sick, sinking feeling in your gut that someone else has taken control of your machine.
US Federal Government Agencies have BANNED Microsoft Vista, and for good reason.
The Microsoft EULA takes control of your machine, stating directly: "this agreement only gives you some rights to use the software. Microsoft reserves all other rights." Even potentially deleting files or disabling programs.
Compared to the costs of Apple OS X or any Linux Distribution,
The Costs of Windows Vista are Unacceptable.
Keep in mind that Microsoft was convicted by U.S. Courts for its criminal behavior, and is being forced to pay $4 million A Day by the European Union for being in violation of their judgments.
Anti-freedom Vista takes away your rights - do you want to Confirm or Deny?
BOYCOTT WINDOWS VISTA MACHINES!
If you support Linux, freedom, democracy, or just want to keep control of Your own machine that You buy with Your own money, PROMOTE this idea now.
Microsoft - Where in the world did you think you were going to go today?
Let Dell know - You Don't Want Windows Vista.

If I go to buy a cheap notebook, I can blame me or the reasons why I have no money to buy a better one. But if I buy a GOOD notebook, as a Dell is expecting to be, even more if a Latitude or Precision, and you put a WSXGA+ Samsung like the SEC3350, or the other WXGA+ by Auo, and I paid a high end notebook to get a sandy, oily, dirty, yellowish display, with light leakage, whites not white, blacks not black, porr colors and bad viewing angles, may I get a bit angry? And why must I get angry and fax an angry letter to Escalation to have all solved, if it is my natural right to have a good to very good display out of the box? Don't you realize yet how often people avoid Dell for: 1) bad displays 2) bad customer care ??? TO me it is a pity. I really like all the rest in Dell. It is a pity...
